A badminton clinic was held at the Balai Rakyat Tanjong Bunga on 12 Dec 2014. Mr. Deng Lei, a resident coach from China who coaches at Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang (MSNPP) conducted the two hour clinic. Thirty students from aged 8 to 16 years old attended the session. Mr. Vello conducts the weekly badminton training on Wedensday nights from 7pm - 9pm.

Mr. Lim Cheng Hoe is currently trying to request from MSNPP to hold regular clinics once every two months.

"We should train badminton players from young and there should be ample opportunities for those who wish to excel in the sport to receive proper training," said Mr. Lim.

According to Mr. Deng Lei, children in China start training from the age of 5.

Mr. Frederick Tan, the director of MSNPP and Puan Lisa said that they will look into the matter.
