MDS (Middle Distillates) are characterised by their high paraffinicity, the virtual absence of nitrogen, sulphur and aromatics as well as low density. They also have very low odour and are water clear. These properties are highly valued by customers world wide. MDS product such as Kerosene has excellent combustion properties with low emissions, suitable as lamp oil and greenhouse fuel, in view of its high smoke point. It can also be used as feedstocks for the manufacture of linear paraffins for detergent intermediates. In addition, GTL Kerosene is a good solvent for metal cleaning and dry cleaning applications.
