The Actors Studio team runs the day to day operations of penangpac including the arts centre’s programming, theatre rental, studio bookings, academy courses and ticketing. The full-time ground staff are all Penangites who have had experience in the arts as practitioners. This team is supported by the Kuala Lumpur team headed by Dato’ Faridah Merican and Joe Hasham who also look after The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) and The Actors Studio @ Lot 10. This provides a synergy which is particularly important for programming (especially touring productions) and ensures a set benchmark of operations and service for all venues. Freelancers such as technicians, Front of House personnel (e.g. ushers), box office staff are engaged on a regular basis depending on the type of shows that are going on. Volunteers and interns are welcomed.
