SYNOPSIS
[ENGLISH] This year's Family Christmas Concert is the seventh to be presented by the performers and the fourth to be presented at Penangpac. The programme will follow the well tried pattern of previous years - with well known carols such as "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", The First Nowell" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" in which the audience will be invited to sing with the Chorus and Orchestra,and the ever popular final sequence during which Santa has agreed to make his annual appearance, and other carols (old and new) to be performed by the chorus and orchestra. One of the new pieces is the famous Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Vaughan Williams. The Christmas Concert will include the first performance of "A Penang Christmas" - a new carol written by Penang based composer Peter Brookes.
