SYNOPSIS
[ENGLISH] Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) will return to Malaysia this May to share their love and passion for dance with the Malaysian audience, with three choreographic works presented for the first time at penangpac and a Master Class conducted by Janek Schergen ! SDT will perform at the Performing Arts Centre of Penang (penangpac), presenting Piano Concerto No. 2, Opus by Edmund Stripe, where parts of this choreography is familiar to the Disney movie, Fantasia 2000, Sleeping Beauty pas de deux and Blue Snow by Japanese choreographer Toru Shimazaki. As SDT celebrates its nation’s 50th birthday, Double Contrasts by legendary Singaporean choreographer, Choo San Goh will be performed at both Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) and Performing Arts Centre of Penang (penangpac). Double Contrasts is one of Choo San’s first ballets that had stood the test of time and performed on a consistent basis from its premiere till today. [中文] 新加坡舞蹈劇場 (Singapore Dance Theatre) 將於這個五月再度把本地芭蕾舞迷所熱切期盼的《闡釋芭蕾》(BALLET ILLUMINATIONS) 馬來西亞巡演帶來檳城，並有三個劇目在檳城作馬來西亞首演，同時也在兩地主辦芭蕾舞大師班，與本地舞者交流舞技！《闡釋芭蕾》（檳城站）將演出一組由世界知名獲獎舞編所精心編排的作品，其中有新加坡舞編吳諸珊 (Choo-San Goh) 的《Double Contrasts》（雙重對比）、日籍編舞家島崎徹 (Toru Shimazaki) 的《Blue Snow》（藍雪）、英籍舞編埃德蒙・斯特里普 (Edmund Stripe) 的《Piano Concerto No.2, Opus 102》（第二鋼琴協奏曲，作品 102）以及由已故法國芭蕾大師毛利斯・佩蒂巴 (Marius Petipa) 所編排的經典芭蕾舞劇《睡美人》第三幕雙人舞 (Sleeping Beauty Act III pas de deux)，絕對可以讓觀眾一次觀賞到多種類精緻的芭蕾舞作品。
