This voice recital kick-starts Chaing Yi Ling and Joe Zainul’s two years schedule tour to promote Baroque music and Romantic art songs in the Asian region. Both born and bred in Penang, Yi Ling (completed her Bachelor of Music at the Birmingham Conservatoire, UK and Masters in Music at The Kodály Institut of Listz in Hungary) and Joe’s (completed his Postgraduate Certificate and Masters in Music at The Birmingham Conservatoire) forte are in Baroque music and Romantic art songs. This Penang leg is the beginning of their Asian tour with other performances scheduled in the Asian cities namely Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in the later part of the year. They are being accompanied by the very talented, Johor born young pianist, Gan Kai Ze, who is currently pursuing his Bachelor in Music at The Kodály Institut of Listz in Hungary.

早在兩年前， 兩位來自檳城的聲樂家鍾依玲 (Chaing Yi Ling) 與祖・再努 (Joe Zainul) 既策劃了巴洛克音樂以及浪漫藝術歌曲亞洲巡演。依玲畢業於英國伯明罕音樂學院 (Birmingham Conservatoire)，之後在匈牙利李斯特音樂學院的柯大宜學院 (The Kodály Institut of Listz) 修得音樂碩士學位：祖・再奴則在英國伯明罕音樂學院取得音樂碩士學位，兩人皆擅長於巴洛克音樂與浪漫藝術歌曲。這次檳城的演出將是他們亞洲巡演的起點，隨行的還有來自柔佛，目前在李斯特音樂學院的柯大宜學院研習的天才少年鋼琴家顏凱澤。
