Malaysia, as a State Party to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) has clear-cut legal and moral-obligations to address the issue of VAW at all levels of the public and private sphere.
Registration and participation in the Talk was by invitation only and was free of charge. Priority was given to those with a strong track record and/or experience working on VAW and other women’s issues.
