Movie Night

On the “2nd Friday every other month” the MGS is the perfect venue to chill out to watch some movies! You can´t find these movies in the local cinemas. We have a wide selection of German movies to show: comedy, romance, thriller and more. We sure have something for everybody's taste.

Our movie nights are intended to acquaint the local audience with the world of German movie-making, which - sometimes - is very different from what we all experience from the regular Hollywood blockbusters, but has a whole appeal of it's own. It is also a great way of getting introduced into German laguage and culture. For our German students it's also perfect to immerse in the German language and practise without effort, just enjoying the movie. Most of the screened movies have English subtitles so it's easy to follow the story.

For our German members it is also nice to watch a movie in their own language and to enjoy it together with others on a big screen and with really good surround sound.
