MGS OKTOBERFEST PENANG

Friday, 23 & Saturday, 24 October 2015!

The MGS Oktoberfest Penang draws people from far and wide, and, over time, it became so popular, that since 2011 it has to be held for two consecutive nights. The crowd keeps growing and we welcomed approx. 2800 visitors. You can expect authentic German food and beer as well as the proper Oktoberfest atmosphere.

This year we proudly presenting the Bavarian band “Froschhaxn", of course flown in from south of Germany. By the way the name of the band could be translated "Frog-leg" and if you meet the band you know why, because of their green coloured leather trousers. The song "Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit" was repeated as often as people are invited to raise their glasses and drink together.

Traditionally German Oktoberfest is a typical beer festival. We can also promise you a few original Oktoberfest beers as well as a variety of local and international brands. Besides Carlsberg we offered 2014 original German Oktoberfest draught beers, Löwenbräu and Erdinger and a bottled beers Franziskaner, Erdinger, Warsteiner and Grimbergen.

Your taste buds will be delighted with the finest German delicacies like sausages, meatloaf, Sauerkraut, pretzels and more. Local and pork free food will also be provided as well as non-alcoholic drinks.

Traditional games and entertainment for both, adults as well as children, will complete this unique experience.

And a big, ususally packed dance floor tempts everyone to join in and you can also expect to be dragged into a polonaise dance where people walk all through the tent with their hands on the shoulder of the one in front.
